Yesterday, Ran Gvili, the last hostage, was brought home for burial. With this painful moment, the hostage chapter has come to an end, and with deep relief, we are grieving all that has been lost since Oct 7. I feel it is my calling to carry this memory through my art. This is my vision for PoppyPink in a gallery space, as a place for remembrance and contemplation.
It is time to store the memorabilia and say, again, never again.
On a lighter note, La'Isha magazine published an item about my collage work. It is an iconic Israeli women’s magazine that has long been a central visual source and inspiration for my practice.
PoppyPink is a minimalist performance piece commemorating Oct 7 that premiered in Central Park, New York, and is now expanding worldwide. The work aims to keep the Israeli hostage tragedy in our collective memory and advocate for human rights worldwide.
